All of us at CDS wish you the happiest of holidays and a prosperous new year!
Peace and good will to all.

One of my favorite holiday activities is to park in front of the TV (with some homemade Chex Mix, while it’s still warm from the oven) and watch the same old movies I’ve seen so many times, they’re practically memorized.

Sure enough, “A Christmas Story” was on the other night and I had to drop everything to catch it (again). Along with the Bumpus hounds, Scott Farkus, and Ovaltine, there’s one of the great, great movie lines … “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid”. Poor Ralphie. No one thinks he should have his coveted Daisy Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. But he does get it and what happens? He almost shoots his eye out.

So, what’s that got to do with technology? Probably not much, but indulge me in the analogy…. Sometimes technology is like that Red Ryder – it’s wanted, it’s needed, but we’re not always totally prepared to use it – and even when we are, sometimes accidents happen.

That’s when CDS gets the phone call or email for HELP. And we’re glad to provide it; it’s what we do. But in the giving spirit of the season, we’d like to offer you a few “safety” tips for your computer technology, so that you won’t “Shoot Your Eye Out, Kid.”
Check it out here – and enjoy your holidays.
